The 2020 Can-Am Maverick Sport X xc 1000R puts Smart-Lok with Trail Activ mode at your fingertips, a 100-horsepower Rotax 1000R engine at your back, and Fox 2.5 Podium shocks with QS3 adjustment to soak it all up.
The 1000R engine, optimized for sporty trail and desert situations, is placed in the rear of the chassis to produce a quiet, cool ride for the occupants. Along with reduced vibration, the 100hp Rotax V-Twin engine includes engine braking for enhanced control on the trails. A larger Donaldson airbox ensures the Rotax engine continuously receives optimal amounts of cool, clean air.
The Maverick Sport X xc 1000R has a 64-inch stance, higher ground clearance, arched A-arms as well as improved suspension travel and high-grade Fox 2.5 Podium QS3 shocks. The Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) system is tuned for both low- and higher-speed trail riding, and the Smart-Lok system allows on-the-fly adjustments. The differential can lock and unlock on the fly no matter the speed, letting the driver focus on the trail. And Smart-Lok offers four intelligent modes for different riding conditions.
The X xc 1000R also includes an integrated front steel bumper, a rear sport bumper, premium half doors, a full skid plate, and mudguards. MSRP starts at $20,199, and the Maverick Sport X xc 1000R comes in one color scheme of Triple Black/ Hyper Silver/ Can-Am Red.

In the late 1990s, Can-Am designers and engineers were the first to equip ATVs with the TTI rear suspension, and, in 2002, they were also the first to offer a manufacturer-approved ATV for two people. In combining maximum power, handling, and traction, Can-Am ATVs are the choice of enthusiasts and professionals – who drive them right to the podium. With Can-Am ATVs, side-by-side vehicles, and roadsters, BRP is carrying on a long tradition of conquests. More than 30 years ago, the world discovered the Can-Am brand through revolutionary motocross bikes. BRP has since withdrawn from that market, but the Can-Am legend and winning spirit live on – with passion and exhilaration.
