Can-Am BRP has launched its new 2018 Defender X mr UTV, which is optimized for mud and changeable, fluid, tricky conditions.
The Defender X mr is powered by a 72-hp Rotax HD10 V-Twin engine and it has snorkeled intakes for when the mud is deep.
The X mr also uses Can-Am’s exclusive Smart-Lok differential. The Smart-Lok technology was developed in conjunction with TEAM Industries, and Can-Am describes it as a true full lockable on-the-fly front differential with electronically-controlled automatic modes that also includes push-button preset calibrations.
The work-focussed UTV is shod with 30-inch Cryptid tires from ITP on 14-inch aluminum wheels to chew through mucky terrain.
Can-Am enlisted S3 Power Sports to shred and tread though some mud for the 2018 Defender X mr launch video. Here it is:

In the late 1990s, Can-Am designers and engineers were the first to equip ATVs with the TTI rear suspension, and, in 2002, they were also the first to offer a manufacturer-approved ATV for two people. In combining maximum power, handling, and traction, Can-Am ATVs are the choice of enthusiasts and professionals – who drive them right to the podium. With Can-Am ATVs, side-by-side vehicles, and roadsters, BRP is carrying on a long tradition of conquests. More than 30 years ago, the world discovered the Can-Am brand through revolutionary motocross bikes. BRP has since withdrawn from that market, but the Can-Am legend and winning spirit live on – with passion and exhilaration.
