Designed for outdoor enthusiasts, the BF100 is Kicker’s newest addition to its lineup of Bullfrog Bluetooth speakers. It is IP67 rated, which means it can stand up to sand, dirt and water.
The portable speaker is also built to float and handle submersion (to a depth of about 3 feet) of water for up to 30 minutes. Here’s the Kicker promo video for the Bullfrogs:
How Tough is the Bullfrog?
The BF100 has an MSRP of $199.95 and has 16 watts of power. It emits 360 degrees of big Kicker sound thanks to its four speakers – two drivers and two passive radiators. The compact Bullfrog also has a hands-free speakerphone and it is compatible with any audio player, smartphone or tablet, that is Bluetooth-enabled. It has a range of approximately 100 feet, and it comes equipped with an AUX input and a USB charge-out for juicing up your gadgets.
Kicker’s other two Bullfrogs, the BF200 and BF400, are IP66-rated. They are heavier, so they are not going to float, which is not an issue for those only take their UTVs to desert dunes where they are not going to encounter a water-crossing. The BF100 is the lightest of the three, weighing 1.8 pounds, while the BF200 is 5.4 pounds and the BF400 comes in at a beefy 8.6 pounds.
The BF200 and BF400 have bigger batteries, with approximately 20 hours of play time compared to the BF100’s 12 hours.

Kicker began in 1973 as a two-man operation, hand-building professional speaker systems in a narrow one-car garage. With very few resources and an intense love for music, company founder and current president Steve Irby invented the mobile-stereo enclosure market from his Stillwater, Oklahoma community, when he developed the original Kicker. It was the first full-frequency range speaker box designed specifically for cars and trucks. From that historic moment, delivering concert-like audio quality across a wide volume range with renowned bass and accurate sound has always been the Kicker way. As audio continues to evolve, Kicker will continue to be on the industry's cutting edge, pushing the limits of audio design technology, performance and integration in the quest for ultimate sound.
