Designed to be extremely strong, the Alba Racing Baja Crusher Wheels are made from heat-treated 6061-T6 spun aluminum.
Cast wheels can crack or shatter on impact, because cast metals can become brittle and porous from the manufacturing process. Alba Racing uses a process that makes their wheels stronger than a cast wheel. A sharp, high-speed impact could still bend these wheel, but they won’t shatter like a cast wheels and could still hold air if bent, so you won’t be stranded on the trail. This is one of the reasons racers prefer a non-cast wheel.
They feature billet CNC-machined 6061-T6 rings, flanges and centers. Alba Racing also uses thick (3/8-inch) bead-lock rings and receivers, adding to their durability.
