ITP Racers Ready for Parker 425

Off-road enthusiasts and ITP racers from all over the country will compete in the renowned Parker 425 event February 1-4.

The Parker 425 is part of the Best in the Desert (BITD) racing series and is known for its long-distance course full of challenging Arizona terrain.

ITP racers, such as Dustin Jones, will take on the Parker 425 and will be running ITP Tires.

Here’s a story Dustin shared about a BITD racing moment:

2015 Vegas to Reno, we started 37th in Pro UTV. And after 100 miles of hard racing in brutal 115-degree heat, we took over 1st physical position and 1st position on corrected time. We battled racers and a brutal course to fight our way up into the trophy truck class, and, at one point, were running 22nd overall.

After following a trophy truck for several miles, we tried to make a pass and hit a rock extremely hard with our rear right corner. Unfortunately, we damaged our wheel resulting in a flat tire. We drove the next 30 miles of the Vegas to Reno on a flat rear right. The tire held up so well that we had no idea we had been running on a flat until we stopped for fuel!

After 30 hard race miles, the tire was still fully intact and carried us to the pit where we were able to change it. That tire was later used as a spare for the following race. A true testament to the toughness and durability of ITP tires, and this made a true believe out of myself and my team.
