The BOLT Series of locks lets you set all your truck, trailer and equipment locks to work with your truck’s ignition key.
When towing and traveling with your UTV, you can start to feel like a janitor with the amount of keys you may need to carry. There might be separate keys for your tow-receiver padlock, more keys for the tool box, the ramps, your fuel tank, a cable lock to secure your UTV, and maybe you even a key for your truck’s tailgate.
And it can be nerve-wracking when you stop overnight at a motel on the way to your riding area, because criminals could bust off a cheap padlock, unhitch your rig, and drive off everything you are towing.
BOLT has a lineup of locks that can be matched to your truck’s key, reducing the amount of keys jangling from your beltloop. And the BOLT locks are much tougher and secure than the average locks.
You can set the locks yourself: Simply insert the truck’s ignition key into the BOLT lock, turn it once, and the lock mechanically and permanently learns the key code. You can set as many BOLT Locks to work with your vehicle key as you want or need.
The way it works is the first time you insert your ignition key into the lock the spring-loaded plate, tumblers move up and down until they are matched exactly to your key. As you rotate your key for the first time, the position of the plate tumblers is permanently set to your key. Watch this video to see more:
The BOLT Lock series currently includes a 5/8” and 1/2” Receiver Lock, 2” Padlock, 6’ Cable Lock, Coupler Pin Lock, Toolbox Latch, Jeep Spare Tire Lock and a GM Replacement Tailgate Handle for 2007-2013 Silverados/Sierras. BOLT has fitments for Ford, Chevy, GMC, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Toyota and Nissan vehicles going back to about the mid-1990s.
