UTVs with studded tires tackle a technical 500-mile racecourse through snow and ice at the Iceman 500 UTV Race in Wisconsin.
Tom and Rob Carlson, along with RTC Events, have created a new UTV racing event called the Iceman 500. Held at the frozen Balsam Lake in Wisconsin, the UTVs can reach speeds of 100 mph on the slick surface through roost of powdered snow.
For 2018, the length of the course was doubled to 500 miles for a two-day endurance test of 250 miles per day. The 2018 Iceman 500 was February 10-11 and drew in TORC, Desert and GNCC drivers from all over the USA to compete for a $10,000 purse.
Here is the Visions of Victory video with S3 Power Sports team at the 2018 Iceman in a custom-built Can-Am Off-Road Maverick X3. Visions of Victory is the documentary series that follows Louisiana-based S3 Power Sports as they contest the toughest UTV race events in the USA.
