The Kubota RTV-XG850 Sidekick utility vehicle features a 48-horsepower gasoline engine, adding a new option to the lineup of work-ready RTV models, which are diesel. The Sidekick has a 48-horsepower, water-cooled 851cc engine. It is capable of speeds to 40 mph, about 10 mph faster than the other RTV-X models.

Introducing the Kubota RTV-XG850 Sidekick

The new Sidekick’s continuously variable transmission uses a centrifugal clutch and it has a selectable four-wheel-drive system. It also has speed-sensitive power steering and engine-assisted braking to provide retarding assistance during descents.

Equipped with a standard trailer hitch, towing capacity is 2,000 pounds and payload capacity for the steel cargo box is 1,000 pounds (California models differ). An electric/hydraulic lift is available for the cargo box.

The Sidekick provides electrical power for a wide variety of equipment. The regulator and fully-shielded generator are controlled by a microcomputer to ensure stable power for attachments, including work lights, LED headlights, heater or winch.

The RTV-XG850 Sidekick has a split-bench seat with storage compartments beneath. Convenience features include a glove box, cup holder and DC outlet. Available options include a premium audio system, LED headlights, a sports roof or a bed extender for added cargo. The Sidekick is available in four colors: Kubota Orange, RealTree AP Camo, green or black.
