Here’s a portion of a post from MUD about some of the products they have to get your UTV street legal. We added a few photos, text and videos.

The side x side market is one of the fastest growing markets in powersports. And a big reason why is because, in many parts of the country, you can drive these magnificent machines on the street, legally. If you are fortunate enough to live in a place that allows legal street riding of side x sides, here are some things you will need to add to your machine.

First thing you need to know is if it is legal to drive side x sides on the street where you live. Next thing to do is outfit it with some street-friendly accessories.

Headlights

It’s a good chance your UTV came fitted with headlights from the manufacturer. However, you may feel the need to upgrade your lighting capabilities. If that is the case, adding LED lighting is a great option and really easy. If you have a Kawasaki Teryx or Mule, we offer a drop in LED replacement for the OEM halogen headlight. But if you don’t own a Kawasaki UTV, let’s say you have a Ranger or Pioneer, in that case, you can add the 5 x 3-inch Oval LED Auxiliary Light.

Its 900 raw lumens may be more suitable if your state has laws about off-road lighting used on the street. If your state allows for off-road lighting, you may still want to add some kick. Check out the 4 x 4-inch square LED Auxiliary light or the 3 1/2-inch Round LED Auxiliary Light.

Tires

In order to have a decent ride on the street, you need the right tires. Obviously, aggressive mud and sand tires are not going to give you a smooth ride on pavement or asphalt. For a better ride while on the road, look for tires like the Moose Utility Division 8-Ball Tire.

The 8-ply radial construction is built for the heaviest UTVs on the market. The aggressive tread design of the Switchback Tire works great in a full range of terrains from muddy conditions to hard pack or loam.

Windshields

Windshields are not only a safety feature but are also a way to keep the elements out. A windshield is a must for a side x side, and not only for street riding.

For a windshield with all the bells and whistles, the Hard Coated Full Folding Windshield from Moose Utility Division is incredibly scratch resistant.

The Rest

If riding your side x side on the street, you will need some important safety equipment including turn signals and a horn. The MUD’s UTV Street kit comes with everything you need including wiring and connections.
