In an event called Nikola World, the media and the public will finally get to see the NZT that is powered by a 2.3-megawatt hydrogen station.
Attendees at this year’s Sand Sports Super Show (September 14-17, 2018) already had a chance to see the Nikola NZT prototype, and some even got to take it for a spin. In addition to the off-road NZT, Nikola intends to unveil its pre-production hydrogen electric semi-truck and a 2.3 megawatt hydrogen station.
By 2028, Nikola is planning on having more than 700 hydrogen stations across the USA and Canada to power their upcoming vehicles. It’s expected that each station will be capable of up to 8,000 kgs of daily hydrogen production.
“This is why we named it Nikola World – we want to create a better place to live where emissions are eliminated,” said Trevor Milton, CEO, Nikola Motor Company.
Nikola expects to have four models of the NZT, each named for its corresponding kilowatt output: the NZT 440 (590 hp), NZT 352 (472 hp), NZT 280 (375 hp), and the base model NZT 198 (266 hp). Here is the teaser video Nikola released in December 2017 for the NZT UTV:

The NZTs will not be inexpensive, but consider that the base model NZT has about 100 more hp than the most powerful side x sides currently on the market, not to mention it runs much quieter with zero emissions.
The public is invited to Nikola World on April 18, and the event will also be live streamed around the world via YouTube.
