ROXOR Off Road took a couple ROXORs and re-traced the 1,900-mile Pony Express trail that spans from St. Joseph, Missouri to Sacramento, California.
The Pony Express was the route used to get mail from the East Coast to the West Coast and was officially in operation for 18 months between April 1860 and October 1861.
Relay stations were placed 10 miles apart. Every third station was a home station, where extra ponies, firearms, men, and provisions were kept. Here, the mail would be handed over to a new rider.
The 2018 ROXOR from Mahindra Off-Road is well suited for tackling the Pony Express trail endurance challenge, with its steel body, boxed steel frame, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, 5 speed automotive transmission, and big wheels/tires/brakes.

Mahindra has been building vehicles for more than 70 years. In fact, 600,000 automotive vehicles every year. Mahindra knows tractors, automobiles, airplanes, motorcycles and more. A more-than $19 billion-dollar company supports the ROXOR brand with a sizeable investment in the Michigan-based ROXOR project. A solid, long-term product plan will roll out with future models; all designed to complement many different channels of specialized businesses - construction, community work, ranching, search and rescue, and, of course, hard-core recreation.
