Getting Grounded

A bad ground in your communications system can be annoying. Rugged Radios has some tips for getting your communications system grounded and also explains some simple ways to correct a poor ground.

Proper grounding of your communications system will improve overall performance and reduce excess RF noise from charging systems, HID lights, power steering, electrical accessories, alternator, poor wiring or other random electrical sources.

Rugged Radios has new products to help get your communication systems grounded. The #GS-RM Radio and Intercom Ground Strap and #GS-NMO Antenna Ground Strap are two of the items Rugged Radios offers to help fix get things grounded.

Rugged Radios Tech Tip: Getting Grounded with Ground Straps

Sometimes getting a good ground in a UTV is not so easy, so Rugged Radios has the Audio Filter. The Audio Filter helps solve a bad ground, poor accessory installation, or some unfound gremlin that is interfering with your communications and bleeding RF noise into your system.

The Audio Filter plugs inline to your radio and/or intercom and can significantly reduce RF noise in your communication system.
