Deciphering the Code

The experts at America’s Tire explain that while a UTV tire size looks similar to passenger tire sizes, they are not quite the same. For example, if you see the code 25/10.00D12 on the tire, here’s what the numbers and the letter mean:

25 = the overall height of the tire in inches at its proper operating air pressure.
10 = the width of the tire in inches when inflated to the proper operating air pressure.
D = the tire’s construction type.
12 = the wheel size.
