JEGS High Performance details how to install DEI heat-protection components in a Pioneer 1000. Besides making your ride more comfortable, cutting the heat can keep your engine cooler during slow speeds or while towing.
In the following video, JEGS installs three products that help cool the Pioneer 1000. The first is an auxiliary fan kit, the next is an under-seat heat shield, and the last is a rear footwell heat shield.
These DEI products are made to reduce heat radiating up to the seat and from the rear passenger foot-well area. They can bring down engine-compartment temperatures and block the heat radiating up through the seat-belt holes, as well.
The auxiliary fan kit ($257.99) fits 2015-Up Honda Pioneer 1000-3/1000-5 and includes a plug-and-play wire harness and a programmable thermostat that can be mounted on the dash or where ever you want.
The heat shields fit 2015-2016 Honda Pioneer 1000-3/1000-5 and are sold as a kit ($88.99).
