Textron Inc. acquired Arctic Cat in March and has now released a video showing which Arctic Cat models made the cut for 2018 to be re-named Textron, and which of the Textron models are staying.
The Arctic Cat models joining the family include select Prowlers and Wildcats. Textron will keep its Stampede and electric Recoil for now. Eventually the Textron Off Road Recoil and Ambush will be discontinued to avoid product overlap. The HDX and Prowler side-by-side models, will retain the Arctic Cat brand while inventory lasts.
Textron has their UTV/SidexSide lineup divided into four categories, with some models, such as the Stampede landing in more than one category. Here is how they are divided up: Hunt (Stampede and Recoil), Play (Wildcat), Trail (Wildcat, Stampede, Prowler) and Work (Stampede and Prowler).

The Textron Off Road story starts in 2003, in Natchez, Mississippi, where Textron built all-electric and hybrid gas/electric 4WD vehicles under the name Bad Boy, gaining a reputation among serious hunters for stealth, off-road performance. In 2010, Textron Off Road became part of Textron Inc., a Fortune 250 company, known worldwide for its powerful aviation brands. The innovation Textron put into Bell helicopters, Cessna aircraft and more is now part of the Textron's story, and is key to its future.
